Hawkins Place

In a sea of colonials, the farmhouse shape fit the memory and scale of the neighborhood context, with just enough of a contemporary flair to be original. With coverage restrictions on the site the option to build an exterior fireplace was not available but this became an opportunity to connect spaces with sculptural two sided fireplace – giving the dining/ kitchen area both a backdrop and connection to the living room. Pushing the windows to the corners, provided a sense of space connecting to the outdoors. Homeowner’s style pulled together the interiors.
